It consists mainly of 3 parts: Asset Tracking Software, Barcode Label, and PDA Barcode Scanner.

1. Asset Tracking Software is used to keep information of assets, such as computers, printer, ... etc in a company.

2. Barcode Label consists Asset Number, Serial Number, ... etc, is pasted on assets.

3. PDA Barcode Scanner is used during Asset Check to scan barcode label and update to the Asset Tracking software.

How to install 'Asset Tracking System' ?

A

1. Download Asset.zip file and save into network drive (eg. H:\)

* If you intend to use Asset Tracking software in multiple PCs in the network, then save the software onto a network drive (eg. H:\).
If you intend to use Asset Tracking software in a single PC, then save the software onto local drive (eg. C:\).

2. Click Start - Programs - Accessories - Windows Explorer

3. RightClick eg. Asset.zip - Extract to folder H:\Asset

4. DoubleClick eg. H:\Asset\Asset\Asset Tracking.mde to run the software
Note that some features that work with the label printer and PDA scanner will not work.

* Installation procedure to interface with PDA and label printer will be given to you once you decide which PDA and label printer model to buy.
